24th December 2010 Hiking - Walking: Samoens-France Wind Direction: light Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: snowing :) Max Speed: Distance Covered: Hiking - What a top day and no skiing involved !!! Woke up to light snow and it did,nt stop all day :) With poor visability up the mountain we decided to have a day off,so Mag and I went for a swim in the top pool,tried the jacuzzi,sauna and steam room.A quick lunch then we took the van and drove to Sixt, parked up at Savagny and went for a two hour hike to the Cascade du Rouget which was magical:)The falls were stunning as was walking through the snow covered pines !!!!then back to the van via the mini ski jump and back to the appartment in time to walk to Samoens old town square to see the snow pagent and mega fireworks over the church !!! we even got Dan away from the playstation and met up with Rob and Hannah after they had a nice walk alon the river to the lake :) So a top top day and up early tomorrow to make the most of he fresh snow - lets hope we can see !!!! |
